newby truck, what to get?

Meh. It's too similar to a T-MAXX to pay attention to. So is the MGT. Go for a Savage or a REVO. The T-MAXX's are also a very good choice.
The TNX is alright, it's just that it is another face in the crowd and generally harder to get parts for. Unless your LHS deals a lot of Tamiya, you'll wind up waiting for parts.

On paper, there's nothing spectacular about the MGT. But on the track, it's much better than a Tmaxx. Infact they handle about as good as any MT from what I've witnessed. I have a hard time racing them with my modified Savage, even on familiar turf.
The Tmaxx isn't really a contender any more. I've heard very good things about the TNX, but have yet to drive one. They're just a bit too pricey here in the UK.

well, im selling my buddies MGT that I bought...only because I bought a new one with the .28 motor lol. Im only 2 tanks into the break in so maybe next weekend I'll get to race it if my wife goes out of town. Wont be as fast as my LSP but Im tired of listening to the crybabies with REVO's whine about me beating them with the LSP...
