I race Clodbusters on carpet, and needed a high power servo. I came across OMG servos, and have been using them for over a year now. I told Tony my application, and he sent me this one. HDT065150B.
I have never seen a servo turn clod tires like this. Ive used Spektrum, JR, and Airtronics.. WOW!! It is amazing. My times decreased, and I got to drive more aggressive since the servo wasn't slowing me down anymore, and I still use a servo saver even tho Tony told me not to use one. The rated oz is 208 at 6.0v. yea.. Its more like 300!!! I do use a Castle BEC to power my servos, just makes sense. OMG is getting more popular in America's and for the cost, its worth it. If you want to try something different, they are the way to go. They are on FB as well if you need to contact them. |

Hitec HS-7955TG Ultra Torque is a beast
Running an external BEC is a must to get the most out of a servo. I've tested servos for amp draw and saw average draw around .75amp with spikes over. 1amp. I went from an internal esc Bec rated at 5amps to the 10amp Castle ( set to 6.0v) and saw a very noticeable performance increase that was well worth the price and effort. Things only got better when I set it to 7.4v! |
Was about to pull the trigger on another HiTec....but I thinking about a Savox 1231 with cap, and Al. Arm $75 shipped..hope it works as good as the specs...
Need help with BEC OR EXT RECEIVER BATTERY? Suggestions ? |
