Default 2wd Stampede/MJ Brushless Gearing Advice

Need some gearing advice for for some MJ/Stampede trucks. First I have a stock MJ 'Digger I am putting a HW ESC in and a 13.5 sensored motor. The motor is a 3040kv Turnigy Trackstar. What would be a good place to start with gearing that won't overheat anything? Running 2s 50c 5000mah LiPo.

The second truck is a 2wd 'Pede I am building up now. Will end up having Clod tires on it and a 150amp HW ESC and a HW 10T 3900kv unsensored motor. Running 3s 65c 5300mah. Any idea where to start for gearing?

Thanks!

Anyone have a good starting point? Blew up the stock motor today so I'll be putting in the system tomorrow. Will start with the stock gearing and see what I get for temps I guess.
