Talking Emaxx- XL Powered by CC 1717 / XL2 Mamba

Finally got the cc 1717 mounted, had to get a custom motor plate to mount this beast on the truck, but it is worth it.

thanks..

Finally had the time to run this beast..I had a blast with it, still smiling, oh boy I forgot how much fun it was. Wheelies like crazy all the time throught the entire battery pack, had to do a bit of throttle control to keep it the front wheels on the ground. Electronics ran cool, outside temp were around 80F, this was only tested on 4s..I don't think the tires will survive on 5s. I love this truck...

This is badass! Love your truck man. Are those Masher 3.8 tires I see? What kind of shocks and springs?

Glad you're enjoying it!

Man...Thats alot of power! Are you able to use it? I used to run a Castle MMM/2200 combo and now Im running a Hobbywing 150A EZ Pro and a XE 2250kv and both have plenty more power than Ive needed on 4s.
Sweet truck anyways

I had this truck for a couple of years now, and I have been upgrading it slowly, really don't want to know how much I've invested on it..

The sweet thing about the 1717 is the lack of heat and abundance of torque
I actually had to step up to 5s because of gearing limitations and needed some more speed.

I'm a firm believer in the saying "Too much power is just enough" so I feed my 1717 6s and it loves it! But that's not for everybody. I think everyone can agree the 1717 is a great motor though, I love mine. The torque is always there and runs nice and cool. I don't recommend 4s though, feels a kinda lazy. 5s starts to wake it up, making you take notice without being unruly. It's a nice setup for anyone afraid of going overboard.

Very cool EMaxx, love seeing that big motor sitting proudly atop the trans. That's a Kershaw mount right?

Unruly? My truck will do a back flip standing still and does ~50mph in an aluminum rig with a high center of gravity

I am actually trying to step down from the monster tires I have to a set of Proline Trenchers, if I can find them. Original Trenchers, no X. I need to shave some rotating mass.

6s would be a real exercise in control... 8s would be brutal

Although, 6s on a normal maxx sized tire might work pretty well too.... so many options!
