It goes the wrong way...

I just replaced the Stearing servo on My E-Maxx with a Hitec HS-945MG. The servo looks to be nice a strong and works quite well.

Except for the fact that when I turn right it goes left, and when I turn left it goes right.

The reading I have done leads me to believe that simply turning the plug around in the reciever is not the answer, and that is the fast way to a dead servo.

So what is the answer?

your transmitter will have two servo reversing switches. one for throttle, one for steering.

simply put the sterring one in the other position.....easy

I have two diferent transmitters, and niether of them have a throtle or stearing reverse switch...
Any other options?

what radio do you have?

miks vones2 07-31-2005 05:14 AM

even most low end el cheapo radios have servo reversing

falcon, miks is right. even cheapo Tx have servos reversing on both the steering and throttle. double check it, it might be hidden somewhere, lol.

what are the 2 Tx you are mentioning?

FALCON-LORD 07-31-2005 04:23 PM

The TX is the stock one that came with the Maxx.

There has to be a better sollution than tweaking the TX... I mean there must be a way of changing it that is not a "hack" for want of a bretter term, but is a proper "fix"

you should have a reversing thing on your radio, cause i have a E and T maxx, savage, and 3 other cars, and they all have reversing thingamajig swithces. the reversing switches should be at the base of your transmitter of the maxx ( if its the stock 'mitter)

happy racing/driving! :)

O.K. I'll have a look when I get home...
This actually leads me to an other question.
3 Channal, Wheel & trigger, AM Transmitters...
Are there any out there?

FALCON-LORD 08-01-2005 12:20 AM

O.K. Found teh switches in question.
Thanks for the Assist

I think the only available 3 channel on AM are the ones that goes with most RTR MTs today that has reverse capabilities, like the associated MGT and HPI savage.
