servo saver

sorry if this is a stupid question, but i have a hitec HS 645MG servo on my tmaxx for steering. the only problem is i dont have a servo saver. before i go and order one, r they really necessary on a servo with metal gears such as this, because thats basically what a servo saver does is protect the gears from stripping right?

If your using it for steering then i would suggest you get one, not all of the gears are metal. If your using it for throttle then dont worry about. But i would really worry about it too much i would order one just to be safe.

yup. definitely go get a servo saver, its a must have on your steering servo. since yours is on the hi-torque-metal geared type, try using the kimbrough gas/truck servo saver (no. 124). it eliminate slop on your steering also. hope this helps.
