So I know you haven't been able to put much fuel through it but so far how would you sat it compares to a nitro?

I would say so far, it's very comparable. I'll definitely need more time though to give an honest assessment.

Looking forward to what you think. How is the noise level in your opinion compared to the Octane?

Oh wow, the octane is that much more? My ears are a little aching from tuning this thing over the last couple days. I can't imagine the octane! So do you think this .31 motor has enough power to go into an 8-T someday? My buddy and I were thinking we'd like one eventually and I thought it would be cool down the road to take my knowledge of this motor and drop it in assuming I'm still happy with it in the future.

Yes, it'll fit, but obviously with some custom fab work to mount the CDI box.

During the testing phase of the gas engine, Drake ran it in his truggy on the track many times. No one noticed it wasn't a nitro....kinda stealthy, eh?

Like Stubbs said, yes it would be right at home in the 8ight-T chassis. I'm sure you've seen this video but if you haven't, he makes mention that it was run in other chassis around 3 min.
As far as the Octane being louder, it's easily twice as loud. I actually wore disposable ear plugs several times while break-in and tuning it. Lol

Any one know the stock shock oil weight? Ordering parts tomorrow and not sure if I have the right oil weights on hand.

+1 my T-E Maxx ran 30w stock, so I would look for 40w or even 45w, 50w may be a little thick.

It's 30wt in the truck. If you get the 2oz bottles I would get two of them to ensure you have enough oil.
We offer all of our popular oils in 4oz bottles:
TLR 35wt Oil
TLR 40wt Oil
TLR 45wt Oil
TLR 50wt Oil

Does anyone know on average how much temps change with the body on. I should be back and running this weekend and would prefer to get the body on. I am comfortable with the temps in current tune but am worried about how much it will change with the body on? I am about 6.5 tanks in with the break in and aside from still being really careful with temps I don't really get what extra steps I should be taking to break it in. I am never going to hold it wide open for long periods of time anyway so what else should I be worried about?

So long as you have a decent hole in the body I wouldn't worry too much about it. Richen it up a few hours if you're really worried about temps with the body.
