Default Idea Transformer ID-RC1

A friend has asked me to help him liquidate some RC cars he got as a part of a business deal. One of the vehicles is an Idea Transformer crawler. It has serious suspension travel and what seem to be internally sprung shocks. It as aluminum axles and hardware, but but 3mm or so Lexan pieces for steering arms and chassis pieces. Are any of you familiar with this vehicle?

Scott

Do you have any pictures to show, some of it could be custom work.

That's a unique rig, I've never seen anything like it. Never seen any of the parts on it anywhere else either. The axles are unique, chassis, links, all unique. I want to say its a custom home built but everything has a more production finish to it. I've tried searching Idea Transformer IDRC-1 six ways to Sunday and come up empty handed. All I can state is the obvious that it's a Comp style crawler, surprising to see its a shafty too. Is it 1/10 size? Almost looks 1/8 in size.

I would say that it is 1/10th. There is a URL on the tranny case of "www.Idea-RD.com",but it doesn't go anywhere. The 540 motor in it even has an "IDEA" decal on it. I've been hitting dead ends as well. I appreciate the assistance and the interest.

The hexes are 12mm (I'm told that the standard for crawlers)
The wheelbase is about 17". It's about 11 1/4" from the outside of one hex to the outside of the other.
