After breaking arms, axels, dog bones and spur gears, over and over I put this losi on the shelf and let It collect some dust. Here we are about 9 months later and I have made some extensive upgrades.

40 Series Velocity wheels w/23mm hex hubs
23mm HD hex hubs
Bow Tie 40 Series

LUNSFORD RACING Titanium turnbuckles and hinge pins lower/upper

Ti-nitride 2-speed gear conversion
Polished-aluminum diff case
6.0 shock springs
Secondary gear cover
Threaded shock bodies

Integy shock towers and with help from a grinding wheel,
Integy Revo bumpers

HCR 6AL4V titanium chassis plate
HCR Titanium Front Skid Plate
HCR Titanium Rear Skid Plate
HCR Titanium Front Skid Plate
HCR Titanium Center Skid Plate
HCR Titanium Lower Battery Skid Plate
RPM Adjustable Camber A-Arms

VENOM FAIL SAFE
And now that I have put all this goodness into my little toy guess what boys and girls, Its going to be a little while before I can get in some nitro runs because my wife and I had a little girl born May 22nd 1:16am NYC my baby girl named Kaila. Kick some dirt up for me, I’ll be changing diapers for the next couple of years.
=-)

Cool truck but be careful with all things aluminum. I have found, building several variants of TMAX 2.5 that not all aluminum is created equally. For example, Unlimited Engineering (SuperMax) uses 7071T aluminum and guarantees its parts for life. They even have a bashing clause. I had already plunked down 1000 bucks for all this metal that bent and stayed bent only to pay another $1500 for the real deal (UE) that to this day is indestructible.

Since the tmax days, I sold it for an LST and parts, I have found a balance between high quality aluminum, Titanium, and RPM plastic.

Hey. I haven't had any aluminium problems so far. My fear is going to be the shock towers getting a bend in them if I have a huge stack. The Arms will be fine unless I hit a tree which is very unlikely.

Im still running in the 28. It slotted in without issue. I took off the pull start and replaced it with the rotostart.

The RPM stuff is always excellent gear.

I'll be running it in some more this morning. The actual crankcase is identical to the Mach26. I suspect a bit of internal work. I'll let ya's know how it goes, should be about ready to get it to a decent state of tune in a few days.
