Default Revo 2.5 or 3.3

Need some help here. Never used to like revo's until now. Got this in a trade, the body has a 3.3 decal, it has a 2.5 engine that I took out, converting to BL.
Everything I've researched shows it's a 3.3. Close to same wb as my mgt 8.0, & inch shorter than my BL lst xxl. It has brakes on front & rear of trans. Can't find any numbers anywhere to find out which 3.3 it is, or if it has just a 3.3 chassis. Would like some input, thanks.

I just figured it was platinum since it has a center diff with dual brakes.

i gotcha, it does have some decent upgrades on it , mip cvds lunsford turnbuckles and push rods plus hitec servos and of course you mentioned the center diff with dual brake pads not a bad start , all he really need now is the gtr shocks and maybe the rear extended control arms and it will be a badd arse truck!

Thanks. What's the difference between the platinum & non platinum. I will be ditching the cage since I'm planning on running a different body. It also has a aluminum rear diff.

Does the trans have reverse or forward only? Wouldn't make a difference since it will be brushless. Would like to know incase I could lighten it up more.

judging by the rear brake, it has CD which also mean no reverse. you can do two things when converting it to electric, you can use electric brake or 2nd gear lock mod. I choose to do the 2nd gear lock mod for one reason lightened up the load by taking out the brake servo, 1st gear/one way bearing housing..etc.

Is there a link somewhere to this mod? Been searching & coming up with no results.
