Revo vs 3908 Trans Question
Ok guys, I fell into a 3908 E-Maxx roller, minus trans/ Bl system, dirt! cheap. My question is trans mounting, Is the Revo brushless trans the same as the 3908 E-Maxx brushless trans? Or will it need to be an E-Maxx, only, 3903/ 3905/ 3908 trans?
Also, do all of the series of E-Maxx 3903/ 3905/ 3908 transmissions, have steel gears? Thanks beforehand.
Never mind, it's the same.

The Erevo and 3903/5/8 emaxx transmissions are the same. The motor mounting plates are different between the emaxx and Erevo though. Other difference is in the emaxx the input shaft of the trans faces forward, while in an Erevo the trans is turned around so the input shaft faces the rear. The trans is the same internally on all emaxx and Revo models (except summit) with steel gears. Btw Traxxas has exploded views with part numbers online making it very easy to check stuff like this.

I've been watching the sale section for one to come through, complete for the E-Maxx, but haven't seen any yet. If someone has a complete good trans, mtr plate and clutch assembly at a decent price, they want some fast cash for, let me know.
If I don't find one in the next few days I'll hit Ebay for it all.
