Default HPI Savage Conversion

A friend just gave me his savage with a blown engine.
i want to convert it to electric but need some advice.

Can you tell me which kit to use; i've seen the HPI conversion which no one
seems to carry or the Kershaw Desgins kit? Or is there a better kit?

Will I be able to tranform this into an E XL Savage/

Can you recommend upgrades/ parts

Thanks

Get one of the extended chassis you like
and Alza CD mount + one hpi vorza cd.

You can get the extended axles (included in hpi extended chassi) or go with half offset wheels if you want the xl width.

Depending on what version of savage it is you might need front/back bulkhead and diffs.

There's a lot you might need. If it's a regular older Savage, you've got some shopping to do. (an older one is worse for electric converting)

XL/Flux dogbones x4, front center/rear driveshafts, bulletproof diffs, lock the transmission, or find a stock flux transmission for sale (with that, you'll also need a HD drive gear), motor mount, battery trays, TVP's, if it's using 14mm hexes, a 17mm hex upgrade/mod, etc.

There's a lot more into it than meets the eyes.

so far in my conversion ive spent $297 on new parts on ebay and i still need a motor esc to complete, it will be close to $500 when ime done...then lipos and a charger will run me around $200, if i was to do this again i would buy a flux roller no question simply based on the cost...
