Default Need a good all out top end pipe for an LRP30

Hello members. Im looking for an all out top end pipe for an LRP30. I checked Buku and they all seem to be unavailable and also sent an email to ERCM and havent heard back from them yet. Im looking to set some high MPH numbers on a Revo and believe the only thing holding me back now is the pipe. Im currently using the OFNA 086. Ive been out of the nitro game for a while and not sure of whats out there new that I can use. As you can see by my sig, Im familiar with speed but just need help with this monster sized motor. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You wont find a better power producing pipe out there than the ERCM. Hes a one man show up there but will get back to you.

I've only heard and read great things about his pipe but its been 2 weeks since the email. I'll try again and see if he responds.

The Ofna 086 is about as good as it'll get.. The LRP 30 is not really an all-out top-end rev-machine...(good basher engine, but generally, as you go up in cc, you go up in torque, and down in revs...)

It's not so much the revs as you need more torque when going for top speed. More torque means more gearing and that equals more speed. My ERCM piccos can spin well into the upper 30k rpm range but when I pulled off 75mph in the savage it's only pushin 28k it's the torque that allowed me to push the insane gearing to reach that speed. The ERCM pipe also allows the engine to produce the power I needed throughout the entire powerband. Why put a pipe on that focuses on the upper rpm range when your geared to the moon and can't get off the line to even get into the powerband? The ERCM makes power from low to high rpm.

Default Pipe

I run a novarossi 2052 pipe with a JP racing conical long header and it rips.

Long header for low end power correct?

A short header will move the power band higher into the rpm range. I run a modified dynamite header with my ERCM pipes. Cut a 1/4" off and welded back together. This allowed me to push the power into the area I needed it. A Werks conical short header would be a prefered choice but there super hard to find.

You're right LLCool. I need torque and not the RPM so much. It helps but not as much. I've been running speed cars for years and as you can see by my sig, I have a couple to stand on and have built many more. The problem is that I've never built a truck and knew that torque was needed. Built a revo and I'm in the high 70s now but feel like there's more there. This is a video or the truck prior to motor mod and while I was testing pipes. Highest speed during these test was 74. Have been to 79 since but stuck there.

That engine needs a tune.

how much does it weigh?

My savage weighs a little less than 9.5lbs. Im running RWD and the 3spd with 20/27 gearing.

This is ERCM bliss and the pipe I have is the lightest endbleed ever made

got_nitro, I know. That was only the 6th tank thru that motor. As it loosened up more, I tuned more.

LLKool, not sure of the weight but Im still running 4wd and 2 speed. My gearing is now 27/34 since Im running the XO1 wheels. I love the sound of that pipe. Im going to have to order one for the revo and another for my onroad.
