Default Recommend durable truck

Hey guys,

Wondering if you can recommend a durable RC MT.

My interest isn't mainly racing, I like bashing. What's are some durable, tough monster trucks that will take a good beating and keep on ticking?

By the way, I would prefer to stick with nitro.

I have a T-Maxx 3.3 which is fun to drive, I would like to add another one.

A friend of mine bashed the shit out of a mostly stock Stampede for several months before it started breaking. The thing is insanely fast (on 3S) and due to its low weight, very, very durable.

Try and find a Losi LST XXL or wait to see what they're bringing out next.

My savage was pretty tough. I think it would be bullet proof with aluminum diff cases and HD diffs.
How skilled are the racers in your MT class? Yes the savage can be fast but it really depends on the competition. The 3.3 revo would probably be faster.

Well, no, I'm not in any competition. I like to just bash in an open field and do jumps.

So, from what I'm getting from the responses, and as far as monster trucks go, the most durable are the HPI, Traxxas, and Losi. If so, how would you rank the three in order of durability?

HPI - yes.
Traxxas cars are junk. Stampede is an exception because it's light and reasonably well-designed.
Losi I'd say even farther away from than Traxxas.

OK, then let me ask you a few more questions.

HPI is the most durable - Is that monster trucks only or all across the board?

Besides HPI, what other brands are durable?

Recommended, Durable and Truck. Hmmmm

3 words that should not be in the same sentence, paragraph, post or thread as traxxsucks.

Yeah, I actually posted just to say that!

Anytime I think I can help out from purchasing traxxsucks I feel it's a perfect opportunity to save someone!

Hpi Savages are awesome. Very reliable (If you put a pullstart on it) and can take quite a beating.
Stampedes and pretty much all other Traxxas vehicles besides the slash 4x4 are not durable at all and I would not recommend them.
Losi I can't say as I have never owned one. And btw the stampede is one of the worst traxxas vehicles. Slash 4x4 is lightyears above it
