LOL!! I will man, i been working on other projects!

Ive had a vinyl cutting machine laying around for awhile so i decided to take a shot at making vinyl masking kits to paint RC bodies!

Ive never painted an RC body before so take it easy on me! Here is my first one, i already have my second body laid out and ready to paint tomorrow!

Well, i tried my best for my first body painting, it was so hard for me to wrap my head around everything being in reverse, my mind was completely stuck in painting regularly like i do cars.. The planning was the hardest part for me. I promise this though, the next body will be much better as i am still in experiment mode, i must admit i was a little intimated lol, using my own masks which ive never done, the masking worked great though! Also used some Rubber Guard on the last coat and make sure the paint lasts. Btw, you can use regular basecoat, just add a little flex additive..

It's Dupont basecoat for cars.. Hobby shops like to say you need to use RC specific paint which is bullcrap, you can add a touch of adhesion promoter to basecoat and it's fine. A lot cheaper to!

For anybody that is going to convert their LST over using the "kit," don't even bother putting the battery tray out back. Cut it in half and mount it up front. On 6S you won't be able to keep the front down on ANY surface, which gets old really quickly. The 25/63 gearing works great IMO. No way do I want more top end or low end. I guess if your running in huge wide open spaces it might be fun to try out a bigger pinion(with TDR mount) but otherwise its just to hard to handle flat out.

+1 totally agree and that's what I've done..I've gone 24/63 cos I lost my original 25 pinion..and with the 1717 I'm geared to 50mph and its plenty..very hard to keep the front down at any speed..one thing I noticed recently is, my spur gear if held and moved, has a but if movement, I.e wobble ..is this normal..I'm not talking mesh wobble, I'm talking back and forward wobble
