Be careful with those rpm shock towers. They flex, and will bend shafts like crazy, especially with heavy oil

I put stock shock towers back on my emaxx, sure they snap on a hard impact to the shock tower, but they don't flex. I was bending shock shafts with the rpm towers just by jumping the truck.

I don't recommend aluminum shock towers with aluminum bulkheads either. Aluminum bulkheads are nice, however when you add an aluminum tower, there is no longer a flex point if the truck lands on the lid. I was running flm hybrids and flm shock towers, and had a pretty bad upside down landing. It snapped the chassis off where the bulkhead bolts on.

yup that was my fear, and I'm pretty sure that the chassis is going to be the next thing that goes/gets replaced on my emaxx, just waiting for it to break first, so I can have that "Holy SH*T that was AWESOME" moment...lol

So order a aluminum chassis when you order those flm towers

I run RPM towers with TRX Big-Bore shocks, TiNi shafts. Never bent one. That flex isn't as bad as you think. Conversely, switch to 1/8 shocks. No more issues.

and I received my tires yesterday...tell me what you all think...I laugh and say they are badass just because of the ridiculousness of them.

have a good laugh and tell me what you guys think, wheels are axial true beadlocks, and the tires are RC4WD.

minirevobasher 02-28-2013 09:44 AM

Lol. I like the rims. But the tires just don't fit that truck.
