Electric Conversion
 

My friend has a tmaxx 2.5 and I have a emaxx with dual kershaw engines. I've got a brushless setup on a whole other transmission. My friends wanting to go electric. Can we just drop the trans into his?

Well as you know your gonna need to remove all the nitro gunk off the truck and if your gonna change the transmission and all I would think it should bolt up but you also need to configure a system for mounting the batteries in the truck as well

If the extra trans you have is a 3906 trans then yes it will bolt into the 2.5 chassis. If you have the newer 3905 trans then no it will not bolt into a 2.5 truck. 3905 trans is a little too wide and the bolt pattern is different and uses 4mm screws instead of the 3mm on the older style.

So I'm curious to know what became of this project
