Do not use a long threaded plug in this engine.
My friend did, using the advise from Eric @ Werks.
During Idle breakin, he blew his con rod to pieces.
The piston was hitting the plug.
Use a standard length plug.

Bummer :(

Kind of a NoOb on which glow plugs are long and which ones are short.Can ya help a brutha out with some examples of a long plug ?? I use MC59 as it is with good results so I suspect that's a standard length plug ??

I had a s & h .28 break a rod also was using mc59 plug.
only had about 6 tanks of fuel in it. never ran over 210 degrees.
anyone else have these problems?

a long plug it longer by about 1 thread...cant really tell difference unless you hold them next to one another....GENERALLY speaking OS plugs are short and traxxas,McCoy plugs are long
