Default Best Monster truck for bashing?

I run all electric now, SC 4X4 and 1/8th Buggy, but I'm going to buy a nitro monster truck to play around with at the house. Looking for some good recomendations on the trucks that are tuff and handle well.

You'll get all sorts of different opinions..there are many sound choices.

The LST XXL is rock solid..pretty darn good right out of the box. Great RTR package. There are gobs of after maket products for the LST's available as well.

Over look the t-maxx for sure.love and hate mine. How many complete rebuilds more do I need to do before I learn. Some thing bigger and tougher next time.either a savage or alosi for me.currently working on an old hyper 7 in the mean time...

Savage .Tons of aftermarket parts and very tough. It's not the fastest or the best handleing one but its one of the toughest and most fun.

A Losi XXL would be my pick(I have two LST2's..), but a Savage is a good basher too.

Truggy Style? Thunder Tiger MT4 G3
MT Style? Savage.

E-Maxx's are for the folks who want that style of truck and don't mind plunking down the cash to reinforce them. It's a tinkerer's truck, and will /not/ be strong right off the bat. Of course, mine's basically bombproof now.

Indeedthey do require lots of after market parts totoughen them up.all those parts = more money. The weakest link for me has between the chassis and those crap screws.

I have owned he tmaxx 3.3 and 2 HPI savage trucks. By the time I was done upgrading the tmaxx I had about $800 in it. It still wasn't as tough as a stock savage. I jump my trucks off of lots of ramps and catch big air! Tmaxx was on the repair table after every jump. Now for the savages!! One tough truck. I have had the 4.6 and the 5.9. Both are great and almost indestructible right out of the box! I now own the Flux HP. It is bullet proof with just a few simple upgrades. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah I'd get a savage too. The xl would be your best bet with the only real upgrade being the steering servo. I have 2 xl's but 1is a conversion & they both are a blast to bash. I bash with a guy that has a revo with a 454 & a t-maxx with a picco .26 red dot & 99% of the time both his trucks break while my savages just keep on keepin on. lol
