So guys, Im going to get a little crazy with it and put 2 Hitec 7950TH servos in for my steering.. My issue being.. I need some servo savers that can stand up to that sort of badassery. Haha.. If anyone has any good recommendations on what to use id appreciate it!

Save yourself a bit of money, gain a wee bit of speed and still have over 800oz.(50 foot pounds) of legit torque with a pair of 7954's. Take the money saved and pick up a 7940 for your throttle/brake circuit. ;)

I actually already have 2 7950th and a 7940th.. So kinda late to change my mind there

Then your all set. Dont waste time with servo savers for those servos........go with some aluminum arms, and use the Hitec programmer to set the failsafe/overload protection points electronically.

What's the common glow plug people use? Ive read mc9 and mc59... Cant really get a clear answer on either one... Currently using nitrotane 20%... Also considering getting either the Losi RE10 or RE11 exhaust... I realize the header pipe wont work, but would either of these be a good choice? If not.. What is?

I also us Nitrotane 20%

Here is the glow plug I use, and I think it is what came with the truck.

I used to swear by OS #10's, but the plug I really like now is the Odonnell purple:

I can't imagine it wouldn't work with %20. Anyway, dirt cheap, and good performance. OS #8's sacrifice top end IMO, and I've never liked the McCoy plugs - but that's just me I think.. I've never had good luck with them - performance, longevity, etc..

MGT servo savers were and still are about the best option for a servo saver on an LST. Why, cause they flex the least and fit well. But I'm going with ntrain on this, with those servos you don't need servo savers. I run a single Hitec 5980sg robot servo with no saver, 2 stronger servos should be just fine especially if you program the failsafe/overload protection on the servos. I personally like to have another flex/breaking point just in case so I use plastic servo arms instead of aluminum along with the stock plastic bellcranks. I like the ones Ofna makes, thick but flexes just a tad and I haven't broken one yet.

OS plugs, O Donnell plugs, etc......really doesnt make a big difference. WHat does matter though is the heat range of the plugs........if its really warm/hot outside, make sure your using a COLD plug, if its cold outside, then use a hot plug etc......

As for fuel.........guys........DITCH the 20%..............if you really want the most out of your engines, you should be using 30%. I use O'Donnell 30% Speed blend. More power, easier to tune etc.......

As stated: Servo savers are great for non programmable servos etc........but with Programmable servos like the Premium digital Hitecs, they are totally worthless since you can program in the overload/failsafe % points. With a pair of 7950's, use aluminum arms and pony up for the Hitec programmer/tester.
