Well if youre at full throttle and barely turning the tires makes sure no gears are stripped and your teansmission and drive shafts are hooked up correctly......... And also yes there's a way tune it
Is it a 2 speed or 3?
If you have a manual for the savage read that cause it shows you how and where to adjust the tranny

check your slipper, sounds like its loose or maybe the slipper clutch hub pin is missing. The adjustment on the side of the trans is for how fast it shifts.

There is a nut and spring on the end of the shaft that holds your spur gear. That is where you adjust your slipper tension. The slipper is there to protect your drivetrain from sudden jolts, like if you land a jump while on full throttle. It can be a good tool for tuning your take-offs if you are in low-traction racing situations. For general bashing, i'd just lock it down.

On my Savage, I use a small 4-way wrench or needle nose pliers to hold the nut, then turn the spur gear counter-clockwise by hand until I can't get it to turn anymore. You should feel it getting tighter until you can't turn it anymore.
