Default MT4 G3 preperations

Going to get an MT4 G3 by Thunder Tiger. However heard a few things about assemble quality(missing parts, etc.) can some of you MtT4 G3 owners advice what I should look out for regarding assembly quality when I first get it?
Also, what are the weak points of this truck?Upgrades which I should have, etc.Opinions about this truck, etc.
Thanks.

To me the truck is a beast. Out of the box you need to make sure your cvd's are in the correct spots. Some people had the front and rears swapped causing them to pop out. You need to loctite any metal to metal bolts including the pinion gear. Not a must but some people have had the pins that hod on your 17mm hub fall out, easy fix is a rubber oring. As far as extra parts the 1st thing to replace is the hinge pins. I use ofna lx2 pins and cut them down. There is a guy on wondertiger who sells hardened pins but I didn't have much luck with those. I personally buy any parts that are likely to break on any car so I have front and rear arms, knuckles front and rear, toe blocks etc. I want to be able to fix it on the spot.

There is a ton of info on wondertiger.com

Here is a user's guide for recommended "out of the box" prep.

Linky

Digidem's custom parts are highly recommended. Moondoggie didn't have much luck with the hardened pins, but he seems to be the only one so far. Digi's parts are pretty high quality.

Hows the Ripper brushless combo compared to a mamba monster?

The ripper is no slouch by any means. Mamba monster setups can add some more insanity to the truck but I have felt no need to swap out. I run 4s and think it is plenty for the truck. Others run 5s and say that's the sweet spot. Also a pinion gear change makes a big difference on the truck. It's all in what you want to do with it.

Nothing wrong with the Ripper setup. The Castle motors are slightly more efficient and slightly more powerful, but the Ripper is a very good stock setup.

If you have a Castle setup, nothing wrong with swapping it out.

Nothing wrong with running the Ripper/ACE combo or keeping it as a backup, either.

Hello, I read review of Thunder Tiger MT4-G3 on the website "bigsquidrc.com".I can assure you that you shouldn't worry about its weak points. The review of this product is fantastic. All the features and functions of this truck are very much appreciated. My opinion is this is one of the best products that I have come across.
