E-revo roll cage?

I do alot of jumping with my e-revo and bash it decently hard... Other day i broke a rear bulkhead :/...... How good is the rc solutions roll cage?
Will it strengthen the erevo so i can stop snapping bulks cause that seems to be my only problem with the truck :( .... Or am i wasting my time and should i save up for a new bashing truck

And i only run 4s

I have heard nothing but good things about them, but i have never had one to say so for myself. For the price i would hope they are as good as they say lol

they are excellent mate, my friend has one, and if your a hard basher, a must!!

Thanks for the input so far the main thin im worried is what if i land on the roll cage? And will the roll cage cause a weak point in the chassis

salabarria 03-14-2012 01:35 PM

Also i was going to get a aluminum rear bluckhead.... I know that people say that if you get a metal bulkhead it will make the chassis the weak point but if i get the rc soltions roll cage if should make the rear solid i think

Give me some opinions on my idea please :)

I would suggest a rear chassis brace mod rather than the aluminum bulks. They don't really do much except transfer the weak spot elsewhere. The rear chassis brace at least helps stiffen the chassis.

I don't have hands on experience with the RC concepts cages, either, but I have yet to hear anyone say they don't help. If you've got the budget, I would go for it.

Only problem i have is who do i go to for the piece of metal, i dont know anyone who can cut a piece of metal and also i dont have a drill to drill the holes :,(

Monteman 03-14-2012 07:28 PM

i have seen a couple guys use the Brake pad from the Nitro Revo for that piece.

salabarria 03-14-2012 07:56 PM

Really? You a 100% it will work lol cause im about to buy some brake pads then

Monteman 03-14-2012 08:00 PM

i have seen pics with the brake pad there, i do not know if you need to modify it to fit. i was using Tekno rear sway bars and i attached my brace to the plastic piece that they mount to.

Ahh ok thanks...... How does your brace hold up on jumps?

Monteman 03-14-2012 08:15 PM

I never had any issues with it in that configuration. I was a little hesitant with it set up that way, being drilled into plastic but didn't have any issues. screws were still tight after a season so the weren't moving at all and wearing out the holes.

salabarria 03-14-2012 08:18 PM

Oo ok cause when i did have the rear chassis mod i it it over one of the shocks and used the shock screw and when i went off a couple jumps it came off

Monteman 03-14-2012 08:20 PM

if the screw wasn't long enough you would have had very little bite into the bulkhead. plus if you use a bracket of some sort it spreads the forces and you shouldn't see much in way of flexing and popping out.
