it should fit in fine i have a 5.9 in 25 chassis... but the only problem that i am running into is that the motor is too fast for the tranny so I am going to upgrade the tranny to a three speed

The F4.6 is the ofna force .28 motor.
The K4.6 is the axil .28

Between the two the F4.6 is a faster motor and much longer lasting. What you have is the K5.9. this motor has much lower RPM's than the other two but more low end so when you go to the 5.9 you will need to adjust your CB/Spur to accomodate. Also you will need to adjust your shift points in the trans. (If you have a 3speed you will need to take the gearset out and apart to adjust 1-2 shift point)

All 3 are direct drop ins on the savage as are most bigblock motors.

However if you are looking to buy a new motor for your truck I would not buy an HPI motor. You can get far more bang for the buck from another brand or buy the same non HPI branded motor for half the price.

Good Options are

LRP .28 $175 (Same as the losi 454 motor and dynamite Big red)
Picco .28 $190
LRP .30 $180
OS .30 $250
SH .28 $170

All of those motors will make the HPI motors look like Radioshack toys

Again when ever you switch motors you will likely have to adjust gearing to suit the new motors powerband and adjust shift points
Speeds just a matter of money; How fast you want to go?
