Pull-Start Problem
Hey for some reason my pull start the string will have a hard time retracting back in. I am wondering why is it doing this? Do i need to get a new spring for the pull start or what? Because i notice it is not attracting back in good..

yup the spring is stretched........You dont wanna pull them all the way or they will stretch, short quick pulls is what they like.

Dam, For some reason i know i should of went ahead and bought a new one from Fleabay.. But do they even make springs that fit the 2.5 starts for the Maxx
|
I would but funds are limited.. Just trying to make sure she even runs before i start buying bigger stuff..

You'll pay alot more for the starter box than you will a rotostart. Also, since you have a monster truck, it might be a bit of a problem (not many starter boxes out there for monster trucks). Rotostart would be easier in the long run!!

This is what I am going to do.. I am going to buy one more Pull-start New.. Then once that one wears out i will then think about getting a roto start.

As mentioned, you only should have to pop the pull start, one rotation of the piston going up and back down should get you fired. Assuming everything else is in working condition, things that would make it not fire on the first pop are: Fuel line was not primed Tune Engine is cold Bad plug (or a plug on it's way out) Weak or dead igniter You don't want to yank on these things like a lawn mower, just a pop of the rip cord is all. |
