You posted your answer The lower the rate the softer the spring
I would hold on to the yellow springs, i found my XXL needed the stronger spring rates otherwise it would sag too much for my liking.

The only springs anybody I know of runs, racing or bashing is RCRavens.

Trust me you will love them, run the collars all the way up and she'll sit just a hair above level. With the 40wt you have, they will ride like a dream.

I just ordered a set of four.
------------------------------------------------------------
Here are a set of our famous dual rate shock springs for the Losi LST Monster Truck. The dual rate are 8.9 ppi at the top and 15 ppi at the bottom; this provides both a smooth ride at low speeds and stable ride at high speeds. These increase the performance and looks of your LST without having to purchase those expensive shocks costing $100. They are High temperature powder coated in Black for a durable lasting beautiful finish.
Any one notice the last sentence, the color?LOLOLOL

The above collar setup (all the way up) is for racing? Any advise for the collar setup if I am to jump my truck?

So, does this mean that the springs could be installed
up side down, and not function properly?

They will still function as dual-rate springs but will react differently depending on the Tight coil up top or tight coil on bottom. RcRaven reccomends running the tight coil towards the top of the shock for their dual-rate springs.

Their shipping outside of the USA is 3 times the price of one set of their shocks.
