Default Race Emaxx necessities.

I picked up a brushed emaxx and looking to build a brushless emaxx for racing. I so far have bow tie 40 series wheels but is rather run truggy wheel setup. I need to know what is a MUST have to go fast with durability. Anyone have thoughts on a 2spd?

I don't know much about the MT classes, but I would imagine that you will need to do a BL conversion if you want to have any shot at competing.

Brushless motors generally have no need for a 2 speed setup, however.

+1 that running only 4 shocks will help, try and get heavy stuff mounted low too like the motor if you can pick up a low cog mount for it.

I've got the Tru-Track rear-end in my BL E-Maxx. Makes a world of difference, stability wise. Less stuff to adjust/move around/wear out.

Don't forget replacing the slipper, also. The stock slipper will puke it's guts out on a BL Setup. Get the Robinson Gen3 Slipper, it's bulletproof. I've got one sitting in a bag (65t) for when my Hot Racing Double-Up Slipper (6-Shoe) blows out.
