center diff question?? need help, from experinced
 

Can I run different size tires?? Front to rear??

I have 2 40 series badlands, can I mount 2 30 series badlands on the front?? Can the diff handle it?? I blew up 1 of my 40 series tires, but I have some 30 series too?? Rear tires would be 5.75", fronts 5"?? Wanting to set this up with paddles, for better sterring in snow

You could, yes. center diff will eliminate any binding

That's an interesting question..... Ive got so many tires to mess around with.

Maybe for the heck of it,and some laughs I'll try out some oddball combos on my MT4-g3. Like big trencher tires in the rear and buggy tires in the front..... Kinda like a dragster.

You're fairly confident this won't do any damage????

Its the same principle as front/rear diff allowing the outside wheel turn more than the inside, vice versa. your spiders will be working more than normal tho

I was thinking with the thiner paddles, it would steer better in the snow. ^^^ can you try it, and let me know??? I'm not home, and need more tires

You will be breaking down your fluid quickly too. Seems like you would be setting yourself up for premature spider gear wear. That diff will always be working it's self over.

Sounds more like you don't want to buy the right tires for it.

You don't know me very well,,,,I have 20+ sets of tires.. just trying something different, haven't seen it done before.

The diffs should handle it fine, and it's what, $3 in diff fluid? Go for it.
