Default What should I buy - Monster Trucks

So I have about a $500 budget and I want an Electric Monster Truck for Bashing. I have my eye on the Kyosho Mad Force Kruiser VE. However, I have a feeling a new one might be coming out soon, because they are hard to find right now. But I have found some on Ebay for just under $450 shipped to my door.

I do not want an Erevo...I want to bash not race. I do want BIG...1/8 size, 20 to 22" long.

Have considered Emaxx and Savage, but to get brushless in those you are looking over $600...so I wonder how the dual motor Emaxx is....anyway, what are you opinions and if you don't have anything to back up "this truck sucks" please do not say it.

Thanks,

John

emaxx dual motor sucks plain out. feels very underpowered. I've had 4 of them lol.

My reasoning for not liking any kyosho vehicles are most local hobby shops do not stock much of anything kyosho related so when your in a fix and need that part...you wait for shipping.

Thanks Accordman. Yes I know I would have to wait for shipping for the Kyosho, and that the parts are going to be a bit more expensive. But with Kyosho's quality parts and being brushless...I am already $200 ahead of the Emaxx and Savage.

Anyone have any experience with the Team Magic E6 Brushless?

well the difference between the two is the HP can run up to 6s lipo and the 2350 can only go up to 4s lipo. So it depends which batteries you are gonna use but if you have the extra 120 bucks to get the savage hp then i say go for it

if you get the 2350 you could always upgrade the motor down the road if you want 6s.

I have two MT4-g3's. And I paid $460 each RTR. I don't think theres another truck out there that's this tough..... Including the Savage Flux. It's way cheaper than the savage....parts are cheaper also. It absolutely blows my e-revo away for bashing....btw my revo is currently on eBay auction....minus the motor/ESC.
The MT4 is the best bang for your buck. IMO its worth more than the flux or e-revo
If you have any interest in the mt4 this is the best place for info and research

I am likin the TT MT4. Seems like you get alot of truck for a decent price. But I have to say I am still interested in the Mad Force, it looks to have a real decent setup....I am leaning towards the MT4. Where am I going to find the best price on the MT4??

Thanks

John

Tower is the only place you can purchase the MT4 online...but I got mine cheaper through a local hobby shop...they ordered them for me through a tower warehouse. Tower is not only a retailer they are also a wholesaler to most hobby shops. I don't know much about getting them but tower has coupon codes.

If you want tough,,,skip all the 1/10, wanta be 1/8.

1/8 truggy, brushless conversion, just add tires. Now you have, big, and tough...

Plus you don't have the super high center of gravity,,,not fun flipping your truck over every 2 mins

Just so you know the MT4 is an 1/8 scale monster based on a truggy platform. The center diff is part of the reason that
the driveline is so much tougher than other monster trucks.

Yes converting a truggy to a monster will be an awesome/tough basher but I don't know how you'd do it unless you spent somewhere in the ballpark of $1000

Thunder tiger has one ready to go for half that price

for me flux is abetter choice since i own one of course, ive had it almost ayear now and that truck could really take a beating so far i've change nothing its still stock, last month a car ran over the front part of my flux. but nothing was broken only the rim was affected even thebulkhead wasnt affected ,as for the parts maybe slightly expensive but i think it money well spent though,to me personally flux is the ultimate basher as easily i culd make 20'jumps without thinking twice but its not a racer. just my 2cents anyway
