Default New Proline Trencher X

I was able to get my hands on some big joes and honestly, what everyone said was true, these are not the best tires for bashing/jumping, dont' understand how the sidewalls just???

Anyway, anyone have anything to report on the New Proline trencher x? I read the big squid report that says they're better on traxxas rims ( but I don't know why they say that)

Any input?

Talking TRENCHER X

I JUST GLUED A SET OF THESE UP TO PROLINE DESPERADOS W/ 1/2" OFFSET! THESE TIRES ARE HUGE! I HAVEN'T HAD A CHANCE TO RUN THEM YET THOUGH! I THINK HE IS REFERRING TO THE FACT THAT THEY HAVE A TRAXXAS STYLE BEAD AND ARE SUPPOSED TO GO ON TRAXXAS RIMS OR PROLINE RIMS W/ A TRAXXAS STYLE BEAD BECAUSE THEY ARE DESIGNED FOR THAT BEAD.....I DIDN'T WANT TO USE TRAXXAS RIMS EITHER AND BOUGHT JUST THE TIRES TO GLUE ON SOME PROLINE WABASH 23MM RIMS I HAVE BUT ONCE I OPENED THEM AND PUT THEM ON THE WHEELS TO GUE THEM UP I REALIZED THAT THE BEAD WOULDN'T SEAT AS WELL ON THE WHEELS I HAD BECAUSE THEY WERE FOR A NORMAL BEAD. HOPE THIS HELPS!

http://www.rctech.net/forum/monster-...-mt-tires.html

BigSquid says they are better on Traxxas rims because they have the 3.8 traxxas bead on them. No need to trim the bead to fit a different wheel. But ProLine also sells the 1/2" offset desperados which have the traxxas bead. You can also get them pre-mounted on the desperados, if you don't care about taping the tires.

They are an awesome bashing tire, especially on 1/2" offset.

A quick shot of mine in some backyard bashing:

LATUFU IS RIGHT, YOU CAN GET THEM PRE-MOUNTED! I WANTED TO GORILLA TAPE THE INSIDE OF MY TIRES TO MINAMIZE BALLOONING OR I WOULD HAVE GOT THEM PRE-MOUNTED. THESE TIRES ARE SICK!

Mike...save the money you are spending on Gorilla tape and use it to have your caps lock key fixed.

I ran the trenchers on my last basher and am thinking abount running them on my new one as well. They were great for me. They are huge though, so if your drive train has any weak spots they will point them out to you.

It's not that big of a deal (to me, anyway)

But when you do it in forums or anywhere else on the internet, it is considered shouting or showing that you are angry.

Just FYI in case you didn't know.
