i have a Savage X 4.6, i've upgraded it with the K5.9 and 3speed transmission, 52 x 17 spur /clutch bell . must say , best upgrade ever for my truck! using 30% nitro and a cold plug. i have it set on a rich setting as to save the engine.
pulls awsome wheelies ...still it's a savage though and it lacks with handling ...
i'm trying to get it to corner without rolling soo much. i've adjusted my driving style to suit..maybe i will look at diff oils...
another note, tyres and rims play amassive part.
i have Kyosho multispoke white rims with HPI dirt bonz tyres ...also a set of RPM black rims with Panther paddles and the stock set of warlock rims with GT2 tyres.
its amazing the the differences between the 3

They have triple rate progressive springs that are amazing. It helped my Savage with the rolling issue and helped it absorb small hits and big hits both at the same time. Also cheap, like $15 or less I think? Only issue is they are only available for the 8 shock setup, not the big bores.
