brushless revo center diff question

brushless revo center diff question
So I just installed a center diff in my 2 run old
ERBE. Everything went fine but I noticed the shaft that the spur is on has a mm or 2 of play. Did not take notice of it before I took it apart. Everything seems fine on the bench. This play OK? Its a in and out play and does not effect the gear mesh. And do you adjust the slipper the same way if the center diff is installed?

Its possible you lost a shim when you put it back together again. There are shims that go on the shaft before the outer bearing. Yes you adjust the slipper the same way. Though since I put the center diff in mine I haven't run a slipper and I have had no problems. the center diff transfers the stress from the drive line.

What RedDog said. It does'nt actually effect the mesh, but its not good either. I actually just read an artical in Radio Control Car Action about a clean, smooth and efficient drive train and proper gear mesh and they actually mentioned this.
