I think you'll find opinions pretty divided.

Pretty ardent fans on both sides. I love my ERBE.

It depends really on what you will use the truck for. The savage is a little more durable, but the erevo is extremely versatile. An erevo can be made track ready very easily and also used as a basher. The savage can be raced, but takes some work.

I would advise that you only run 4s unless you are an experienced driver. Many have drivetrain problems on both with 6s. Not to say you can't run 6s, but you need to have a good throttle finger.

I have both. Ill answer any questions you have.

I've had both, both are pretty durable, but IMO if you want a Monster Truck, get the Savage, if you can't decide between a MT and a Truggy then the E-Revo is sort of trying to be both.

I grew up with Monster Trucks being just that, handle like c#ap but take an absolute pounding, stupid jumps, wheelies etc

That said, I actually find my SC8e more durable than both of them.

I have both and like them both for different reasons. The Savage is crazy durable for all out bashing. Nothing I've thrown at it has been able to stop it yet. The e-revo is nice for racing and it handles way better than the savage. It's also a decent basher in it's own right but doesn't quite stand up to the Savage in that respect.

Like someone else said, figure out what you want to do with it and then get the truck that fits the bill better. I'd say someone could be very happy with either.

Thanks for the info. I am looking at mainly bashing with whichever one I would go with.

I did a lot of research and decided to build a Flux XL. Lumidave35 on ebay has the roller, and an XL body and I already have an RX8 and 2250kv. I got the TCS 5mm XL chassis and pro-line bow ties on 23mm Desperados. They are 23mm so I ordered adapters. Either way you go, from what I've read theres some upgrades you'll need to make but less so with the Savage. So far I'm at $700 only because I already have the Tekin power and a Hitec HS-7945TH plus a 4PL and Rx. So if you don't already have 'tronics then definatley buy a RTR.

Thumbs up

I own both of them...and I would say both are awesome...I do bashing on both, and both are great bashers...

But I would have to say the flux is a lil bit more durable cuz of metal parts...but e revo has great plastic parts that flex , preventing breaking parts....

Stability wise...e revo wins...it has great control on ground and air...on 6s...
Flux...u do have to give less throttle at times so u won't lose control on 6s...

BOTH
