Default Advantage of bigger axles

I am thinking of getting the losi xxl tires but I need the 20mm axles as supposed to the 17mm that I already have. Is there any advantage over the larger mm axles and nuts for the tires?

The advantage is you will be able to use a 20mm hex wheel, thats it.

hey losifan, personally i'd steer away from the 20 mm hubs. reason being is you get awfully limited in the amount of rim choices that are available. unless you just like the stock losi 420 wheels and tires, lst series and muggy series. however if you are scoring some new take offs from ebay for cheap enough, and looking for something to bash with then go for it.

I run 17mm myself, but a lot of people who bash love the 20mm's. They are less likely to round out/strip, and are little more durable because of that. There is less tire choices, but still plenty for bashing.
