Yeah, this little monster looks awesome. I think that these trucks are going to be great, fast, and easy to maintain. It definitely looks stronger than Traxxas 1/16 trucks IMO and HPI has a really good idea to just make a 1/16 with a 1/10 power system installed already, because most people do this with their 1/16ths.

ah, so the motor is a 540 and not a 280 like the 1/16 traxxas trucks?

Traxxas VXL is 380 canned and it actually is only a 380 in the XS. It's a finned hobbywing motor from what I can see and a finned motor is only 2848 can with fins to size it up to a 3650 can. So really its only a cheap 380. I think the VXL would smoke it! Its basicly a 35A/180peak EZrun(Hobbywing) combo painted a different color and rebadged. Dont get me wrong. Ive ran the 35A/9t 4300kv combo and it rips.

Meh, dont get me wrong it looks like a lot of fun and a durable little truck but I don't see the point in buying a small version of something I already own which is already plenty fast. If I want it to look smaller I'll just drive it further away
And I know the XS is 'waterproof' but I wouldn't be driving it in water anyway, I'm skeptical of water+RC cars.

I think this is more aimed at people who can't quite afford the 1/8th scale version but still want the experience (sort of). It'll be interesting to see how this stacks up against the Stampede 4x4 in terms of durability and handling especially. Also, it looks like it has a Mamba Max Pro with a 4000Kv motor.

They say it's 2/3 the size of a standard Savage. Since a Savage Flux HP is 21" long, the XS oughta be right around 14" long, making it about 1.5" shorter than the Stampede 4x4. I know they're not the same scale, but I think it makes for a good comparison, especially considering the Savage XS will probably out-perform the Stampede 4x4 in most areas

Tire, maybe, but wheel, no. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Ten-T uses a 14mm hex hub. There's no word on the mounting of the XS's wheels, but I'd imagine they are 12mm. The tire is a '320S' size, which roughly equals a 2.8" wheel. The XS uses a 2.2", so I suppose you could mount that tire on a set of 2.8" wheels with a 12mm hex, but I think they would look a bit disproportionate on the truck

OPPS..I was thinking of the Bullet or what ever the truck was called that came out not long ago. This thing looks bad @$$!

I agree with you 100%! Water and RC's dont mix! Little dew in the grass or a puddle, but no real water
