Default Paddle Tires - Anyone use them? Why or why not?

Im looking for good tires to switch out the stocks on my Stampede for winter snow slushing. Not in slush snow, mind you, just fresh powder.

Also, I hail from FL, so eventually I will probably play at the beach with it a lot.

Anyone else use them? Or are there better tires for snow/loose sand use?

those paddler tires get filled up quick with sand/snow/mud. the stock tires on the t-maxx are good because they have a deep chevron tread, which doesn't fill up with anything.

I have a X-Factor that I run on a large sand pile close to the house and run the Pro-Line paddles and they almost give to much traction while climbing, but i think on large open flat areas like a beach they would be great. And you just can't beat the cool rooster tails!

Stan: are you using the 2.2" proline paddles?? I plan on getting some before winter swings around again.

Sand is not good for RC cars, that's for sure. I wished I had paddles while at my Grandpa's house. His backyard flooded so there was water to just above the grass. A running start and WOT with paddles would have caused quite a show.

I put 2 on the rear in loose dirt for crazy hookup and sweet rooster tails. I can't wait to use them this winter. You wouldn't want them on the front of your 2WD Pede either.
I have only used them a couple times but they are a blast.

have you guys noticed any extra clutch wear after using paddles?? I am just curious, because I really don't care much about clutch wear. Its one of the cheaper things to replace on a RC car/truck.
