Need A Bit Of Help!
 

I need a bit of help starting my savage 25. I know its a very old model but i havent used it. ( Maybe broken it in) Even if it isnt broken it it wont start to break it on in... Ive just bought a new glow plug for it because the other was fryed. All the pins are set to factory settings. When i try and start it wants to fire but it wont go. Ive ran the batterys out in the roto start 2 in 2 days and the car just wont start.

Any ideas on this?? Feel free to comment

I would start by pre heating it up with a heat gun or hair dryer to around 200'. Make sure the needles are set to stock setting..( double check ) Make sure you are getting proper gas flow --no clogs-- anywhere. Look at all your gas lines if they been sitting for a while maybe a good time to change them. Make sure your glow ignitor is fully charged and operation properly. Hope this helps

also give it a little throttle while turning it over

I would also clean and re-oil the air cleaner as well. A new glow plug maybe replace the fuel lines to make sure there not cracked.

9 times out of 10, when I can't start an engine, it is because I am using a really crappy glow ignitor or the batteries in the glow ignitor are dead. That is the extent of my experience lol. Took me a while to figure this out. I used to take the glow plug out and put it in the ignitor and if it didn't light up all the way to the end of the coil I would throw it away. What a maroon. I wasted a lot of good plugs, I'm sure.
