wouldn`t a supercharger or turbo on a two stroke pressurise the bottom end making it hard for the piston to make its down stroke

Not necessarily, you dont have "valves" cut into your sleeve on a 2 stroke. They are reffered to as the ports and you could really get a supercharger or a turbo on a 2 stroke that actually gave you positivie results. People may think it does but it is not good for your motor and in the long run the biggest waste of money you could spend.

Why do I keep hearing that a supercharger will just blow the fuel out the exhaust??? Has anyone ever removed their carb and spun their flywheel??? If you haven't, maybe you should... There is an Intake Valve on Nitro engines...

I still dont understand why it would blow the fuel out since it is opening and closing at who knows how many times a second.
Woulnt the fuel and air stay since by the time the fuel tries to get out the valve is closed

No it isn't... The more pressure you can stuff into the crankcase the more you can force into the combustion chambers... On a 2 cycle you need to pressurize the crankcase in order to get the fuel/air mixture into the cylinder... The more pressure you can stuff into the crankcase, the more you can force feed into the cylinder.... One of the biggest problems with 2 cycle motors is they are ineffective at expelling the exhaust gasses....

Even on a 4 cycle, with regular valves there's overlap where both the intake and exhaust valves are open at the same time...

Oh.... while the piston is on the compression stroke and filling with fuel/air, that little VALVE on the crankshaft, inside the carb opening, IS CLOSED!!!!! The only pressure that is making it's way into the cylinder is what was already in the crankcase!!!!! The supercharger is being blocked from forcing anything else into the engine... Will you guys please learn how a 2 cycle engine works...

I'm not saying that these nitro blowers on the market currently work, all I'm saying is that there's no reason the right design won't work...

The rest of you should go take remedial small engine workshop....

looks like the only way to find out is to make a supercharger or buy on and try it

Yes it is, but that little spinning valve in the crankshaft keeps it from blowing into the crankcase....

The way some people keep describing it is it's just going to continually blow straight out the exhaust....

ONE MORE TIME THE SUPERCHARGER IS BLOWING AIR ALL THE TIME.
WHEN THE VALVE IS OPEN THE SUPERCHARGERIS STILL BLOWING AIR.
BUT LIKE I SAID THE ONLY WAY TO FIND OUT IS TO GET ONE AND TRY IT.

Yes and even on a real 1:1 engine the Supercharger, Turbocharger or however you want to force air into the cylinder is blowing all the time.... A B&M Supercharger doesn't shut itself off when all the intake valves are closed...

There are so many misconceptions going on in this hobby it's rediculous....

I'm still not saying that what;s out there works.... But being that Detroit can supercharge 2 cycle engine's, why not??? I haven't personally sat down and tried it... But all this crap going around is getting annoying...

Holy Crap... A detroit Deisel 2 Cycle Sleve and it has ports just like every other 2 cycle engine.... They come Turbocharged and Supercharged too... Guess it blows all the fuel out the ports from what everyone says...
