Upgrade Advice???
Howdy! My question: What to do next????? Here’s what I’ve done so far to my new TMaxx 3.3 for light backyard bashing and running around:
RPM A-Arms, Skid Plates, Bumpers, Axle Carriers, True-Track Rear RC Raven Dual-Rate Springs Traxxas Big Bore Shocks (50 wt. front, 45 wt. rear), Stainless Steel Hinge Pins Venom 6V 1600mah Hump Pack & Peak Charger Fuel Filter Integy 3-point Roll Bar Complete Ball Bearing Steering Bell Cranks Thanks!!! |
Just get out there and beat it like it stole your dog. Then when something breaks, upgrade it.

Looks like your rig is already in pretty good shape for bashing... Just keep it as-is for now, and upgrade parts as you break them.
Buddy of mine has a T-maxx and I know he had real issues with the rear axles wrapping, and breaking. May need to upgrade those??? I dunno for sure, not a Traxxas guy... |
Yea, Im just beatin on mine in the yard :) Ive only been in it a liitle over a year now, the -/+ ld difference is so far beyond me. I know what your sayin and maybe someday I'll need to know about it

I don't see anything wrong with the RCRaven springs, but like mentioned, I have noticed that they can be a bit off. I have matched RCRaven triple rates in my Savage and the improvement was huge when using 40 weight oil! I personally thing that when they are able to sell matched sets from the factory, single rate springs will be taking a back seat as far as racing goes.

bulk heads
|
yea, aluminum bulkheads would be good. aluminum lower chasis braces. rpm bumper for the rear, aluminum shock towers or rpm shock towers. traxxas cvd's for the front and rear and down the center. maybe upgrade to a stronger steering servo.

If I were you I'd go for a new pair of tires, what do you usually run on?
