hsn problem! please help
ok, i loosened up the nut on the bottom of the hsn on my t maxx to move the nipple the fuel line goes on. after i got it where i wanted, i went to tighten the hsn nut and it just turns. plus i can wiggle the whole hsn valve in the carb where it screws in. the threads on the hsn are fine. but i noticed theres no threads where the hsn screws into the carb. i tried to put some teflon tape on, and still loose. i can actually wiggle and pull out the whole valve when its in all the way. i tried to start the engine and fuel sprayed out around the bottom of the hsn. how do i tighten up the hsn valve in the carb? do they use some kind of sealent or silicone? im going to my lhs later today to use my gift card, so can some one please give me some info on this before i go? that way if i need to buy anything, i can get it at my lhs. thanks.

Your carb body is stripped out, good job:lol::p;) Thay are plastic and do that often very easy.
Your better off looking on flea bay then buying a new one at full retail at the LHS. |

Yep, thats what I would do. Got nothing to lose now. |
ok, i got it on. i'll let it cure for 24 hours. i'll give it a try tomorrow around 11-12. if it leaks, i'll just bid on one of them carbs on the bay.

Why bother! You're just gonna get either plastic bits or rtv into your engine, ruining what would've been a good glow plug. Even if it works it won't hold when you go out and run it. You need a carb body or a complete carb.
