How do I remove this?
1 Attachment(s)
Hi guys, just noobing up the forums again, looking for oyur infinite wisdom. So the last of my Tmaxx repairs arrived yesterdat (accidently ordered a extended chassis body, but with a few cuts it'll fit) I've attached a picture of what I'm triyng to do. I'm triyng to remove the steel ball from that thing (if anyone could give me some names of these parts, it would be great).
I need to replace the lower suspension arm. The guy who sold it to me had broken the steel pins which hold it to the body, so when I bumped it a little, the arm snapped. |
To get the "pivot ball" out of the "bearing carrier" you have to take out the pivot ball retainer from the out side of the carrier. It's a allen wrench key or the truck came with the tool to do the job if you bought it new. The pivot ball it self is a allen key as well to remove/unscrew it from the a-arm.

Just stick the allen wrench through the blue plug on the outside of the knuckle, it is slotted in middle. May need to work the arms up until you get the allen wrench lined, then turn. Very very easy, once one understands it.

Thanks, I managed to get it out by just unscrewing it. Runs like a champ so far. I made the body fit, and put a coat of clear coat on it. THe clear coat absolutely ruined it, oh well.
Thanks for the help :D |
