Seriously, if money is no object, take the body off of your Savage.......then build a truggy underneath of it. That's the only way you're going to get the "ultimate racer".
Regardless of what you do to a monster truck, it's still a big, lumbering beast. You can modify the snot out of it to make a fair to decent racer, but it's always going to be held back by the very nature of it's design.

After that, throw the stock engine away and get an after market engine like O.S. or LRP...

I agree with roychan. The biggest improvement you'll find is with the suspension conversion and some LPR truggy wheels. Go with the LRP 28 for excellent bottom end combined with screaming RPM. You can also run an 1/8 scale pipe with an XL so don't be held back with "Savage only" header/pipe combos.

A set of LPR (Low Profile Racing - Proline Crime Fighters, Bow Ties etc... 1/2" or zero offset, or 40 series wide wheel and tires...) tires will have less side wall flex and much lighter than stock ones, that means better handling and turnings.
A Dynamite 086 with header is a good pipe for Savage, and with the XL longer chassis the header will not rub against the rear shock tower.
