Brushless is a great idea... I'll look into it myself. Pretty sure any standard 540 size brushless kit will work though. I was also considering a nitro conversion.

I saw one on ebay and it looked like it was bigger then a "normal" 540 motor. Im not to internet savy and would like to know who makes the motyors and controlers

Well about parts, MRC still makes parts for this truck. I happen to have a spare chassis, so if there is anything you really need that I have, we can work something out. I am keeping certain parts though.

About brushless systems, Novak makes one for the E-Maxx, it replaces both 540 motors with a single one.

The hv brushless system is not yet released for the e-maxx.they can not even give me a eta for when it will be ready! I have had two of the ss-5800 systems from novak and love them I ran one in a losi xxx-t and run one in a direct drive enforcer sprint car, these system are 99% maitnence free you may have to replace the bearing and thats it,if your looking for a good brushless it is very hard to beat the ss-5800 novak is also in the process of bringing out a new modified system to replace the 5800 I think it is to replace it,they also offer a 4300 that is stock based!
