Default T-MAXX spur gear

My spur on my tmaxx is like its not fastened, it will just sort of "orbits" around the perch where it sits.

How can I fix this?

found the problem, the spur gear's center was just eating itself away, and once there was a little "play" inside the spur gear, it just got worse.

Is there an easier way to get to the spur gear than removing the engine and the fuel tank?

I can live with the tranny in, but the engine and fuel tank have to go.

trust me, you will have an easier time with the tranny out, or at least take out the screws holdin it, because when it comes time to put it back, you have to get a really small pin in a really small slot

Easiest way we have found and the quickest is to remove the 8 screws that hold the tranny in place and simply tilt it upwards. You don't have to remove the entire transmission to get to the spur gear.

The good thing is if you use the same size spur and considering your mesh was good to begin with you don't have to reset it again.

If you've done like I did, and took out the EZ start, all you gots to do is take the tank loose.

Robinson Racing dual slipper kit is the fix in this case. the ring gear is in two pieces with three screws holding it on a plate for the slipper pads. I remove nothing and can change in 2-3 minutes
