Smile 1518 in Revo conversion fits...barely

Just wanted to confirm that the CC 1518 1800kv motor does fit without modification in a nitro-turned-electric conversion. I am using the new style Tekno mount and pinion (not the clutch setup) and have a couple mms to spare with the suspension fulling compressed. I will take a couple pics when I get a chance.

This is with the suspension fully compressed w/stock a-arms. It's very close but will not hit the motor.

It is actually more controlable than the 1515 2200kv (on 5 cell lipos, anyway). I am waiting for some larger pinions to arrive so I can gear up a bit more. So far I give the 1518 a huge thumbs up.

I know...never thought I would have sold all my nitro stuff and went brushless...a year ago I would have said no freakin way. Now with working full time, plus running my own business in the evenings and weekends, and family (3 kidos and a wifey) I just don't have time to mess around with nitro. It seemed everytime I would go out I would spend most of the time tuning and less and less time actually enjoying driving. After getting my first taste of 5 cell lipo power in my conveted 3.3 revo I was hooked. It was really, really tough selling the modded 21tm for sure.
