Default servo for savge

I'm in need of some help. On working on upgrading the steering on my savage. what is the best servo I can get? Looking for tons of tourqe and decent speed. can it also be set up with dual steering? (I don't want dual steering just curious) and what is a great steering servo? Should I replace any thing with good cerimic bearings?

Thanks for all you help guys

Nice choices. Go with this stuff and you can't go wrong. Make sure you have bearings in your servo saver. I wouldn't waste my money on ceramics unless I was getting the truck wet alot...

Cheap bearings go a long way!

Not too bad of a price. Or here they are at a buck apiece from Avid - yellow seal Revolutions -

And prob overkill as well.

Dose it matter if I run a lipo rx pack or a nimh pack?

It can - if youre going to get a 7955TG, its a 6v rated servo, Hitec has a HV servo line, but apparently the7955TG can run lipo unregulated -

The other potential prob is your rcvr. It might not be able to run unreg lipo.
Either will work with a NiMh pack.

Just as aside, the 7955TG needs a radio system that can adjust epa so the servo is not straining against the linkage. Think that was also pointed out in the post linked above.

Well for the radio I don't have to worry about that I've orderd me a dx3r.
Another question is since I will be bashing a lot should I go with a the bigger 40 series beadlocks? Or stay stock?

I'd run stock, I like them and have been impressed with how they work and consider them pretty decent. Way better than what came with my old 4.6SS.

These wheel nuts can cause probs, they seem to be hard for some to get tight enough, but I use a 8mm socket and ratchet and have never had one come loose.

Dose any one make beadlocks that aren't 40 series and will fit stock hubs?
