Default flux xl wih baja tires?

I am wondering if the 24mm adapters from hpi on a savage is a good idea. I am interested if anyone is rolling with baja treads in their flux? Does it overheat the motor and speedcontrol? Does it improve handling much? Or do "you" have any thoughts or concerns?

It's a horrible idea. Have you ever seen a Baja tire in person or even held one? They are SO HEAVY. You will add at least 4 lbs to the weight of the truck switching to them. It WILL over heat your motor, it WILL end up damaging it.

My interest is actualy having a hex hub instead of a wheel nut... is there any problems running the 17mm hex hub adapter on a flux xl-with the xl axles?

Standard 17mm Hex adapters won't fit as the pin won't line up with the axle. The HPI 17mm hex adapter kit with CVD's do fit but the shafts are thinner and they are far too small for the diff so you have a lot of play there.

Fact is on the Savage Flux, you are stuck with HPI's 17mm set up, nothing else fits. I suggest investing in an 8mm ring spanner to tighten the wheel nuts up that extra bit.
