MGT Shock setup for jumping??
 

I upgraded my MGT shocks to Traxxas Big Bores. I kept the MGT Springs, but the shocks seem way too soft. The truck will bottom out if I drop it from 1ft. I'm guessing it's the springs that need changing or maybe the oil wt? What is the best setup for jumping this heavy truck??

How long have you had the springs, not sure if it applies as I'm fairly new to r/c but they may be worn out, is it the stock blue springs? I just dropped mine and it doesn't bottom out till about 3 feet...
Try the red springs they make it handle better too :D (I think its red but might not be xD).

I have the red springs on my MGT with 50 weight shock oil and they are the MGT shocks. The red ones are the next to the stiffest and do well if jumping 2-3 feet off the ground. If you are going higher, I would suggest the copper springs which are the stiffest.

I have 30 wt in 1 shock and 50 in the other, for each pair, works great for me for both racing and bashing.

Proline Powerstroke
 

Definately the proline powerstroke shocks for the MGT. They are kind of expensive, but worth it. easy to refill, very adjustable, and tough as hell.
