when your dealing with stuff like this its really the only way to go... why risk 500+ in electronics.... get the good stuff and you will not regret... it will outlast the truck and live to be stuffed in oncoming projects.
ive had my MMM for quite some time now and its be as reliable as they have come.

Yeah if you have that kind of money, go ahead. But for the budget racers you can get just as good of a setup for alot less.

Your going to want to get a good BL system, MMM. As for lipos, Venom is coming out with a 4s 5000mah 25c soft pack for 79.99.................. Trust me ill be trying these. As for servo, which im sure you have a good one already, I would go with the jr 8711, I know its $$$ but it will last plus a 2 year full replacement warrenty and it has 404oz. your looking at about 600 to 700 there depending on servo

Post pics and vids when your done

All the more reason to just buy a Flux and have HPIs warranty support. I've built 2 conversions, not SAV based, and they've been expensive. My UE Lightning is going to be uber expesive when its finished.

There is a lot of enjoyment in building it yourself and going thru all the trials and tribulations of parts selection, fitting, adjusting, and tinkering. There def is an education and enjoyment factor to doing one, but it can be expensive.

Venom lipos are not at all considered "the good stuff." If you plan on going for low prices then get a turnigy 4s pack for $40.00. They are much better than venom lipos, trust me i've been their done that.

They are great lipos. There are TONS of threads on them in the electric off road section. Just search under hobbyking lipos, zippy lipos, turnigy lipos, etc.... The best brand from hobbyking is the turnigy packs IMO. They stay balanced for a long time.

Not only are the hobbyking batteries good, i hear the chargers are great aswell. I will try one soon.
