Is a fuel filter or a check valve (or both), if its just a fuel filter it shouldn't be there but if its got a check valve built into it, its there to stop the engine from going lean at half tank. The tank has such a large capacity that the exhaust doesn't provide enough pressure when the tank is below half or so, the engine will start getting lean. Most people use the ofna primer pump

IMO, I'd keep the GST they are a blast and with the right few upgrades are pretty damn tough too and an a blast to drive.

Thanks for your opinion and the heads up. If its a check valve should I only be able to blow through one side? or is there another way to tell?

Correct air should only be able to pass thru one way (from pipe to to tank) the check valve stops air from leaking back out of the tank, keeping it pressurized.
